Busy Busy Busy...Fun for All!

It is almost the end of February, and as much as we would like to say we LOVE winter, Kevin was hoping that the groundhog biting the mayor out in Wisconsin was a sign that winter was already over.

The past few weeks have been busy, and we are proud to announce a stack of NEW events in the coming weeks at the store, most of them from our gaming department.

Pinewood Derby

First and foremost, we are lucky to have a great volunteer planning and executing the Pinewood Derby Clinics the store has been hosting since January. A BIG THANKS to Chris K for all the hard work he has done, and for all the work he is still doing in the coming weeks. The last clinic is tomorrow, Sunday February 22 from Noon until 4. Not to be quite done, there will be the HobbyTown Pinewood Derby Tournament. It is a single-elimination tournament, and will be happening on March 14. Stop by the store for more details.

It's a Magic time of year...

Magic: the Gathering is slowly changing the way card sets are released, which means more events faster! The next set (Dragons of Tarkir) is already only a month away, with the Prerelease events being held on March 21 and 22. There will be a Midnight event following Friday Night Magic on the 21st, a Noon event the same day, and a Noon event on the 22nd. Entry fee is $25, and be prepared with two of your favorite clans to root for!

In addition, the very first Legacy format tournament will be on March 15th at 1pm. Entry fee is $10, and you can see all the details on the official Facebook Event.

International TableTop Day 2015

The die has been cast, and the popular web show from Wil Wheaton has set the next International TableTop Day is April 11, 2015.

We are ready to join in the fun with events starting at 11am. You can RSVP via the official EventBrite page, and the first 50 people get a BONUS Raffle ticket for the day's events. More details will come in March...
